We are finally home sweet home, and I'm really hoping to keep it that way for awhile. Our sojourns out of town have been pretty great, but we're both busy with work and we've been waiting to enjoy this Logan summer that's finally here, and I've been itching to get back to my baby to-do list. But before I get to those, I wanted to chronical our last few days in California. (Sidenote: I never got any pictures, but oh my the flowers in Southern California are unrivaled. They are everywhere. My very favorites were the magnolia trees :) which are so beautiful and don't grow in Utah, so I loved spotting them everywhere.)
The best part (for me) of the trip was the wonderful surprise baby shower my family threw for me. Unfortunately, I thought we were just having dinner at my aunt Lauren's so I forgot my camera. So I have no pictures, which makes me really sad, because I walked into the house to find darling baby decorations and a big pile of gifts.
It was such a great shower. It was so fun to have all my family members there, and it was awesome because Rob got to open presents too. I think guys get left out of a lot of the whole pregnancy thing, so it was fun for him to be part of it that way. We got so many great gifts for Baby G; tons of adorable clothes, some little toys, a pack n play (AWESOME, and totally unexpected), my favorite Johnson's Baby products, towels, bibs, a bunch of diapers, and more. I was so happy because lately I've been worrying about how in the world we're going to manage to get everything we need on time, and this shower helped so much. I never thought I'd be so excited to get diapers for a present, but I really was. Thank you so much everyone!
Here are some pictures of the rest of our trip:

My cousin graduated high school and my aunt threw him the party of the year. There was a cotton candy machine for crying out loud.

A pilgrimage to Sprinkles Cupcakes of course. Their seasonal cupcake: Key Lime. Oh baby, oh baby.

A trip to Farmer's Market in Huntington Beach. This was a goat cheese booth. I dunno if you can read it, but the quote below says "Where every goat has a name." Hee hee.

Lots of ping pong was played. My aunt bought this table for the graduation party, and Rob and my uncle Tim put it together. Here is Rob about to play doubles with my uncle Austin. What a couple of hams.

My mom, engaged in a fierce battle with my grandpa. They were really getting into it. They kept screaming and talking trash.

There was also lots of Just Dance to be played. Even I did it. There will be no photos of that shared.

While I didn't get any presents from Disneyland (boohoo), Rob did get this sweet little Eeyore for his little Baby Girl. What a cute daddy.

And here we are, being awesome, kicking...bums...and taking names. I wish we'd bought these. I really, truly do.
All in all, it was a great trip, but we came back pretty tired. I always hate coming back from a trip. You know, the unpacking, empty fridge, no desire to do anything. But life must go on, and so it does. Thanks to my family for a great trip; I always love going back to my roots and spending time with all those crazies.

SO FUN! Oh I'm so glad you had a great shower but mostly that you are BACK! Seriously, I keep needing a DI, Hobby Lobby, or errand-in-general buddy. Can't wait to come see all your gifts and get caught up! What a great trip
